Music

Rick formerly performed traditional tunes from the American Old-Time and Celtic traditions, as well as a selection of his own compositions on the Hammered Dulcimer.  He is currently not available for concerts and performances.

Here is what people are saying about Rick's performances:

"A big THANK YOU to Rick for playing music at the shop today!!  We all LOVED it!  Such a talented and nice guy.  We are thankful to have such a wonderful friend like Rick."
Wendy, The Hot Chocolatier, Chattanooga, TN

"Rick, You ... ROCKED on Saturday!  Everybody loved your dulcimer... & felt the MELLOW.  We were so glad you (performed) for this plant sale."
Melanie, Crabtree Farms, Chattanooga, TN

"...Rick Davis, a great hammer dulcimer player from the States...  What a pleasure it was to listen to Rick play his Irish, Scottish, and American folk selection so beautifully, and what an addition (he was) to the success of the whole weekend.  The organisers thank (him) for coming and expressed the hope that (he) will be back next year."
Sheila O'Neill, in her review in the "Northern Standard" newspaper of the 3rd annual Smithboro School of Music, Smithboro, Co. Monahghan, Ireland

"In Ballycastle, ...it was the first time for many, many years, possibly ever, that no fewer than three Hammered Dulcimers were heard being played together in the same room!  A champion player, Rick Davis, who had travelled all the way from North Carolina, entertained us all with his wonderful musicianship on a beautifully crafted modern chromatic Dulcimer...."
Dick Glasgow, in his column, 'Traditional Notes', in the "Ballymoney Times", Ballymoney, Co. Antrim, No. Ireland
